Refund & Return Policy

Fortress K9 sells trained dogs, puppies, digital products, written planning services, books, merchandise, training services, and related products.
Because many of our products and services involve custom work, limited availability, reserved time, training preparation, dog selection, or digital delivery, all sales are generally considered final unless Fortress K9 approves an exception in writing.
Refunds and returns are handled at the sole discretion of Fortress K9.

General Return Policy
Fortress K9 does not accept returns or issue refunds automatically.
If you believe a return or refund should be considered, you must contact Fortress K9 first and receive written approval before returning any item.
Unauthorized returns may not be accepted or refunded.
If Fortress K9 approves a return, the item must be returned in like-new, unused, undamaged condition unless the return is related to a damaged, defective, or incorrect item.
The buyer is responsible for return shipping unless Fortress K9 determines otherwise in writing.
Original shipping costs are generally non-refundable.
Trained Dogs
Deposits for trained dogs are non-refundable.
This is also addressed in the written purchase agreement or contract for the dog.
Purchases, payments, guarantees, transfer terms, and refund terms for trained dogs are governed by the written agreement signed for that specific dog.
Because trained dogs involve selection, training, time, handling, placement preparation, opportunity cost, and reserved availability, payments and deposits are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the signed agreement.
Please review your contract carefully before making payment.
Puppies
Puppy deposits are non-refundable.
A puppy deposit reserves placement priority and removes or limits that puppy’s availability to other buyers.
Final purchase terms, pickup, delivery, transport, health records, and any applicable guarantees are handled according to the specific puppy purchase agreement, written communication, or invoice related to that puppy.
Transport, delivery, or shipping costs are generally non-refundable once arranged, scheduled, or paid.
Family Protection Plan
The Family Protection Plan is a custom written planning service.
Because this product involves questionnaire review, analysis, preparation, and custom written work, it is generally non-refundable once the questionnaire has been submitted or work has begun.
If you purchase the Family Protection Plan by mistake and have not submitted the questionnaire or received custom work, contact Fortress K9 as soon as possible. Any refund is at the discretion of Fortress K9.
Digital Products
Digital products, downloadable files, online resources, and electronic materials are generally non-refundable once delivered, downloaded, accessed, or emailed.
If you have trouble accessing a digital product, contact Fortress K9 and we will make reasonable efforts to help you receive the product you purchased.
Books
Refunds or returns for books depend on the format and fulfillment method.
Digital books are generally non-refundable once delivered or accessed.
Physical books may be considered for return only if Fortress K9 approves the return in writing before the item is sent back. Approved returns must be in like-new, unused, undamaged condition.
If a book is fulfilled by a third-party printer, marketplace, or distributor, that provider’s return policy may also apply.
Merchandise and Physical Products
Merchandise and physical products are generally final sale unless Fortress K9 approves a return in writing.
If a return is approved, the item must be returned in like-new, unused, undamaged condition.
The buyer is responsible for return shipping unless Fortress K9 determines otherwise in writing.
Refunds, if approved, are issued only after the returned item is received and inspected.
Original shipping costs are generally non-refundable.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact Fortress K9 within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your name
- Order number
- Description of the issue
- Photos of the damaged, defective, or incorrect item
- Photos of packaging if relevant
Fortress K9 will review the issue and determine whether a replacement, refund, store credit, or other resolution is appropriate.
Do not return the item unless Fortress K9 instructs you to do so.
Training Services
Payments for in-person training, coaching, consultations, or custom training services are generally non-refundable once time has been reserved, preparation has begun, travel has been arranged, or services have started.
Rescheduling may be available at the discretion of Fortress K9.
No-show appointments, late cancellations, or failure to attend scheduled training may not be refundable.
Sale Items, Custom Items, and Special Orders
Sale items, custom items, special orders, limited-availability products, and discounted products are generally final sale unless Fortress K9 states otherwise in writing.
